GAVIN DEGRAW

DeGraw started playing piano at age eight. His older brother, who is also a musician, inspired him to start writing his own music. DeGraw played his music in Manhattan clubs until his song I Don't Want To Be was picked as the theme song for the long running T.V. show One Tree Hill. This gave him the exposure he needed to find success with a number of singles including Chariot and In Love with a Girl. DeGraw recently released his fourth album, Sweeter, which is sure to bring another batch of fabulous piano driven tunes.

Fun Fact: Even though both DeGraw and his brother are both musically inclined, they grew up with a father who was a prison guard and a mother who was a detox specialist.

JACK'S MANNEQUIN

Jack's Mannequin began as a side project for Something Corporate lead man Andrew McMahon. The name took on even more meaning when McMahon himself was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005. FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS

Michael Fitzpatrick spent years working in L.A.'s music industry, but it wasn't until a second hand organ made it's way into his life that he really found his sound. And with that sounds Fitz and The Tantrums were born. Fitz rounded up a group of talented musicians and they started recording in his home studio. From those sessions they produced Songs for a Breakup Vol. 1. It was this sound, that Fitz refers to as, "soul influenced indie pop" that got them signed with Dangerbird Records. And with the help of a label they produced their full length disc, Pickin' up the Pieces.

Fun Fact: Fitz and The Tantrums real break came when Adam Levine got a tattoo in NYC. The tattoo artist suggested that Levine give them a listen. He dug their sound so much that he personally invited them to tour with Maroon 5.

MUMFORD AND SONS

This English folk rock group formed in 2007. Their goal? Making music that matters, without taking themselves too seriously. Three years later they seem to have accomplished it, having gained quite a respectable following already. Though their debut album Sigh No More has done extremely well, their true passion is performing live. On recordings the band members all have assigned instruments, but when playing live they often switch instruments due to convenience. It will be very interesting to see what this fun folk group comes up with next!

Fun Fact: You may already recognize some of the groups lyrics. They often pull lyrics from classic literature. The title song off their debut album, Sigh No More, derives from Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing.
