Volunteer opportunities for the week of February 20th Door County is rich with maritime history and every year thousands of visitors come to learn all about it. Consider joining the volunteer crew of the restored tug, the John Perves at the Door County Maritime Museum. Guide people through the tug’s engine room, crew quarters, galley and pilot house all while giving them the tug’s history. The best part is, you sign up for the days you’d like to volunteer, so it fits perfectly into your schedule. Contact Jan McKelvey at (715)321-0544 or janmac2@charter.net. Third Avenue Playhouse has started its concert series “Tuesdays at TAP”. These concerts benefit numerous non-profit agencies, and therefore, they could use your help with ushering, concessions and box office assistance. The concert to benefit the Volunteer Center is on Tuesday, March 13th and features Craig Konowalski, Bob & Mike Starr, Mary Stellwagen-Crouch, Bruce Newbern & Craig McClelland. This is the perfect opportunity to help the Volunteer Center and see a great show. Contact Pam Seiler at 746-7704 or volunteercenter@doorcounty.com.
